Who we are

LotCove is a listings directory that connects sellers who have stranded inventory with buyers who can resell it. We are a directory only — we do not take possession of goods, process payments between members, or hold funds. Deals happen directly between members.

Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email address, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text). Sellers may also provide a business name and location.
• Listings — the inventory details you choose to publish: product identifiers (ASIN or Walmart URL), title, category, quantity, condition, pricing, location, and notes.
• Messages — the content of conversations you have with other members through our in-app messaging.
• Marketplace verification — when you verify with a marketplace (for example, Login with Amazon), we receive a stable account identifier, and your name and email from that marketplace. We use this only to confirm you control a real account. We do not receive your marketplace password, and we do not access your orders, inventory, or seller data.
• Technical data — basic information such as your IP address and activity needed to keep the service secure (for example, to prevent abuse and limit automated attacks).

How we use your information

• To operate the directory and let members create, review, and browse listings.
• To verify identity and reduce fraud and bad actors.
• To enable in-app messaging between buyers and sellers.
• To manage memberships and, in the future, process payments through a payment provider.
• To keep the service secure, reliable, and free of abuse.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. Limited information is shared as part of how the service works:

• Your listings (and your seller name and general location) are visible to members browsing the directory.
• When you message another member, that member can see your messages and display name.
• We use trusted service providers to run LotCove — for example, hosting, database, and (in the future) payment processing. They handle data only to provide those services.
• We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of members.

Cookies and sessions

We use cookies that are necessary to sign you in and keep you signed in. We do not use them for advertising.

Data retention and security

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. We protect your data with reasonable technical measures, including hashed passwords and encrypted connections. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Your choices

You can update your account information or ask us to delete your account by contacting us. You may disconnect a verified marketplace account at any time, though membership features may require verification to remain active.
